Armful by Robert Frost

For every parcel I stoop down to seize
I lose some other off my arms and knees,
And the whole pile is slipping, bottles, buns --
Extremes too hard to comprehend at once,
Yet nothing I should care to leave behind.
With all I have to hold with hand and mind
And heart, if need be, I will do my best
To keep their building balanced at my breast.
I crouch down to prevent them as they fall;
Then sit down in the middle of them all.
I had to drop the armful in the road
And try to stack them in a better load.

Say Google

Every time
you get online,
you must pick
one web browser,
maybe firefox,
internet explorer,
or google chrome,
then you load websites,
read news,
or blogs,
you think of jungle,
or freshly baked bagel,
or colorful lego,
but always,
you need to
use GOOGLE
to make everything
jingle,
so,
why
don't you
say
"Google" ?

Notes for you

This is for you,
Referring to the person who brings joy
to my trapped mind,
and imaginary bloody battlefield.
Your presence dries up bundles of lightening
and bolts of thunder enticing in my days,
You're the key to my quiz problems,
that's wet, damp, and misleading.
All of the hurtful images hitting me
would evaporate like air climbing
from the raged water, I roll my eyes
by husks of folded memories,
I breathe easier breath after being shook
up by the invincible power your words occupy,
Life isn't about what happens to you,
It's about how you deal with
issues handed to you by God.
With mountain high storms
climbed and ocean wide gaps
crossed, you and I emerge
closer, digging our chance to
savor life like halcyon dove.
Never mind the ashes,
Hope remains valid to carry us
through more invisible war times.

(Labor Day Poems) I HEAR AMERICA SINGING ~ Walt Whitman

I hear America singing, the varied carols I hear,
Those of mechanics, each one singing his as it should be blithe and strong,
The carpenter singing his as he measures his plank or beam,
The mason singing his as he makes ready for work, or leaves off work,
The boatman singing what belongs to him in his boat, the deckhand singing on the steamboat deck,
The shoemaker singing as he sits on his bench, the hatter singing as he stands,
The woodcutter's song, the ploughboy's on his way in the morning, or at noon intermission or at sundown,
The delicious singing of the mother, or of the young wife at work, or of the girl sewing or washing,
Each singing what belongs to him or her and to none else,
The day what belongs to the day-at night the party of young fellows, robust, friendly,
Singing with open mouths their strong melodious songs.
